Fall Photography Workshops - NC Mountains and other possibilites!

Hi Everyone,

Well I'm fresh off two awesome photography workshops and now I'm busy planning for the Fall. Will I ever get the new blog off the ground? It's looking doubtful, but hey - hang in there!

Just wanted to let you know that Jamie and I are planning a Fall NC Mountains Workshop in October (14-17). Will be based at the Hampton Inn in Hendersonville and will have waterfalls, fall colors, the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway and other cool things on deck. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Will have full days of shooting and evenings with lots of image sharing and critiques.

More info coming soon!

Hope all is well and the shooting is awesome!

Final SGPW Update!

Hi gang! The Spring Gardens Photography Workshop I'm co-hosting at the end of the month is fast approaching and I wanted to let you know one last time in case you wanted to fill one the remaining seats, before the cutoff!

I'll be teaching 3 classes during the workshop:
1) On all the options available for Image Editing along with recommendations
2) A Complete Digital Workflow from Shot to Print
3) From Photo to Photographic Art.

We've adjusted the price due to a hotel error and offered the option of joining us on Friday (at a reduced rate) for those who couldn't travel during the business week.

Contact me if interested!
Thanks!
Chris

SGPW Update!!

Hey everyone!

I've been working hard on a new blog (not a post, a whole new blog!) and haven't had the desire to post anymore here for a bit, but....

I did want to update you on the Spring Gardens Photography Workshop. We nearly had to cancel the thing due to the hotel backing out of their agreement, but Jamie was able to muscle them around (OK, she was nice but this sounds cooler). Anyway, the prices changed a little bit. We still have the $39.99 rate for Thursday, but it went up to $49.99 for Friday and Saturday.

As a result and incentive for you to grab one of the last few remaining seats, we have lowered everyone's workshop registration fee to $350.

See the brochure linked to this post for all the information you should need. There is no web signup, you need to complete the form and send to Jamie. Dropping us an email to tell us you've sent your money would be appreciated too.

Thanks for your continued interest, and I look forward to seeing many of you in Richmond!

Spring Gardens Photography Workshop - Richmond Virginia

Greetings my fellow photographer friends,

So where have I been? Here's just one of the many things I've been working on in my hiatus!

Many of you have been asking me "what's next." So, it is with great pleasure that I can finally and officially announce to you that I will be co-anchoring a Spring Garden Photography Workshop in Richmond, Va. April 29-May 2. Many of you will remember Jamie Konarski Davidson from some of my classes in Wilson. We have teamed up together to bring you what I think will be an awesome photography workshop.

This will be an action-packed workshop where we will include plenty of hands-on instruction in the field so you can learn and fine tune shooting techniques. Then 'retire' back to the hotel for classroom sessions that focus on photography and image processing, and if that weren't enough of a day for you, we will also have time for image sharing & critiques. Our days will run from 7am to 10:30 pm with all the photography goodness I know many of you crave!

During the daylight hours we're shooting at three incredible locations: Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Maymount Park, and the Agecroft House and Gardens. I can't say enough about how cool these locations will be to shoot - just see for yourselves. Then when night falls, we've packed in SIX (6!) classroom workshops to help you obtain better images. You should come home with a ton of wonderful shots! Come join us, it's going to be a blast!

We've reserved an incredible deal with the 'Base' hotel Baymont Inn and Suites for just $39.99 per night (single or double!) with breakfast included! We will also be including a couple of your meals AND admission to the shooting locations in your registration fee! The hotel is conveniently located very close to our shooting locations and there are several nice restaurants in the near vicinity too including an Olive Garden in the parking lot!

Don't delay! We're limited to 14 participants and it will sell out fast. The last workshop wound up with 14 on the waiting list. See the brochure linked to this post for all the information you should need. There is no web signup, you need to complete the form and send to Jamie. Dropping us an email to tell us you've sent your money would be appreciated too.

Thanks for your continued interest, and I look forward to seeing many of you in Richmond!

Tip Tuesday - Drag and Drop to the Center

OK - a peek in here long enough for my Tip Tuesday segment...

Holding the Shift key while dragging and dropping a layer between two documents will place the “dropped” layer into the center of the destination document. If there is a selection in the destination document, holding the Shift key while dragging and dropping an image will drop it into the center of the selection.
